Welcome to Méribel Mottaret, a pedestrian and family-friendly resort where learning to ski becomes a joyful and memorable experience thanks to the beginner areas located right in front of our Alpine House.
Perfect for families, children, and anyone wishing to start gently, this area offers several highlights, including sledding, the Youni zone for the little ones, and the Big Air Bag.
SLEDDING
Accessible from a very young age, sledding is a must in the beginner areas. On a gentle, well-secured, and supervised slope, it allows everyone to discover the joy of sliding with confidence. Children learn to play with balance, manage their speed, and experience the simple pleasure of gliding downhill.
Youni space
The Youni Area – also known as the Yeti Park – is designed for little ones and beginners, featuring fun, age-appropriate elements such as a magic carpet lift, secure zones, and gentle progressive turns. It’s a safe and reassuring environment where everyone can enjoy their first slides on the snow, guided and worry-free.
the Big Air Bag
For the more adventurous — yet still accessible to beginners — the Big Air Bag allows you to take off from a small ramp and land safely on a large inflatable cushion.
It’s a secure way to experience jumps and aerial sensations without the risk of impact. This activity is becoming increasingly popular in mountain resorts, offering a soft landing even for the boldest jumps.
Across these three progressive areas, both children and adults can have fun, try new moves, and build confidence before venturing onto the more technical zones of the 600 km of slopes in Les 3 Vallées.
