The activities and events of the winter 2025–2026 season in Méribel
We welcome you to Hôtel AlpenRuitor, in the heart of Méribel Mottaret, until Monday, April 6, 2026. A wonderful winter season awaits, filled with events and activities organised by the resort and across the 3 Vallées ski area.
Opening dates and new features of the 3 Vallées ski area
The 3 Vallées ski area, the largest ski domain in the world, will be open from December 6, 2025 to April 17, 2026.
Thanks to the resort’s snow guarantee, you can enjoy optimal snow conditions throughout your stay, whatever your travel dates, and make the most of the wide range of activities available across the 3 Vallées.
For regular visitors to Méribel, this season brings even more improvements to the skiing experience, with the installation of new, high-performance gondola lifts at Rhodos—ideal for families, beginners and ski schools—as well as at Côte Brune, just a short walk from our Alpine retreat.
The new Côte Brune gondola will notably provide smoother connections between the valleys and increased lift capacity.
Year-End Festivities in Méribel
From December 21 to 25, Christmas celebrations light up the resort with parades, shows, brass bands and, of course, a magical meeting with Santa Claus.
On December 25, enjoy a traditional torchlight descent followed by a fireworks display on the La Chaudanne Snow Front.
For New Year’s Eve, La Chaudanne transforms into a vast open-air nightclub, featuring a spectacular show by La Folie Douce, followed by an energetic DJ set.
The celebrations continue until January 8 with a jazz festival bringing together renowned international artists.
From January 26 to 30, Méribel will also host a Para Alpine Skiing World Cup event on its demanding and prestigious slopes.
February Holidays in Méribel
In February, and especially during the school holidays, a wide range of events and activities await both children and adults, making Méribel an ideal destination for unforgettable family moments.
You will find, among other highlights, children’s shows, a special evening session at the ice rink on February 19, as well as live broadcasts of the Milan Winter Olympic Games.
March in Méribel
In March, cinema takes centre stage in Méribel, starting with theXplore Alpes Festival on March 10, showcasing the world of outdoor sports, followed by the Riders Film Festival on March 20, during which ten rider teams will present their films dedicated to skiing and snowboarding.
On March 17, don’t miss St Patrick’s Day, featuring a live concert at The Rambler, just a short walk from our hotel.
End of Season in Méribel
As the season draws to a close, DJs take over during Soundclash, a large open-air music event where French and British DJs face off and respond to one another across Place Maurice Front in Méribel Centre, creating an electrifying end-of-season atmosphere.
